Feel free to fire suggestions for future 3-Bet pieces in the comments section below.
In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at PokerStars getting started in New Jersey, Daniel Negreanu dating himself slightly and a new community flocking to poker.
1) PokerStars NJ Soft Launch
It’s a big day for PokerStars fans in the USA as the online poker giant plans on going live in New Jersey at 4 p.m. EST.

PokerStars will begin with a soft launch that only features about 500 players or so to test the software but it’s still PokerStars in the USA.
If you’re one of the chosen few who gets a chance to play around on the site in New Jersey be sure to hit us up on Twitter or in the comments below to let us know what the experience is like.
Of course the full-blown launch is set for March 21 and PokerStars is planning on running a $25,000 freeroll for anyone who signs up in NJ.
It’s hard to say how many people will be playing on PokerStars NJ in the early stages so that freeroll, which will offer a $5k first-place prize, might have a lot of value.
Either way it’s definitely an exciting time for poker fans in the USA.
2) Real Kid Poker is Real Old
It might be time for 41-year-old Daniel Negreanu to retire the Kid Poker moniker.
We don’t really think he can hold on to it after Tweeting this last night:
20 years ago when I lived an unbalanced lifestyle 20 hour sessions were a piece of cake. Now I play 7 hours of poker and need a nap!
— Daniel Negreanu (@RealKidPoker) March 16, 2016
We kid of course. Negreanu plays a lot of Hearthstone and went to Blizzcon last year so maybe he can keep the Kid Poker tag for a bit longer.
3) Poker: The Ultimate Relaxation Tool?
Ever heard of Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR)?
Basically it’s a weird, difficult to define, slightly euphoric experience wherein some people feel a tingling sensation that’s supposed to be relaxing.
It’s usually triggered by specific acoustics like someone typing on a keyboard or soft whispering.
Well it turns out that the sound of playing cards triggers the sensation for some people so ASMR fans have started producing videos featuring poker.
You can check out one such video below that features a guy playing with cards and talking about poker hand rankings. Relaxing? Or the most incredibly boring poker video ever created? You decide.
